My Land Zone

Search your property address to find its land zone and technical category.

How to find your property

Enter your address. Start with the street number, then the street name. Possible matches will pop up. Click your property to select it.

Note: property addresses have been recorded in different ways. Unit or flat numbers can vary from postal addresses. For example, 1/100 may be recorded as 100/1 or 100a. You may need to try variations. If you have recently purchased a property in a new subdivision or a newly subdivided piece of land this may not yet be an address on My Land Zone. You may need to try the original address of the land before it was subdivided until the property is on the system.

The zoning information has been provided by the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment and is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of publishing.

The site contains details for property addresses located within the Christchurch City Council, Selwyn District Council, and Waimakariri District Council areas. Searches of properties outside these districts will result in a message stating No data relevant for this property.
